Lisbeth M. Bulmash
Ms. Bulmash has practiced law since 1989. Lis has been admitted to five bars, including Illinois, Michigan, New York, Ohio and Texas. Her experience in litigation has involved work in a variety of settings including a law firm specializing in defense, a law firm representing primarily plaintiffs and in a national property casualty insurance company. These varied legal experiences prepared Ms. Bulmash for her career in Mediation. She has a unique way of anticipating the needs and interests of the parties. For over a decade, she has engaged solely in the practice of mediation. Her disputes have ranged from small to larger and more complex, multiparty cases. Lis mediates all types of civil and commercial cases, including but not limited to, probate, personal injury, professional negligence, employment and real property cases.
Lis Bulmash has been a mediator since 2002. Before practicing in the state of Texas, she had an active mediation practice in Michigan and Ohio. Over the last fifteen years, Lis has completed over 200 hours in basic and advanced mediation training. Most recently, she attended the Global Pound Conference in Austin, Texas and joined attorneys, corporate respresentatives and arbitrator/mediators from all over the country to discuss advancements in the methods and use of Alternative Dispute Resolution. Lis obtained her initial Mediation Training at the Oakland Mediation Center in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and her basic training workshop in Family Mediation at the Mediation Training and Consultation Institute in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Lis Bulmash has presented to the Akron Bar Association, the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, the University of Akron Law School and the Mediation Association of Northeast Ohio (MANO) on Ethics in Mediation. She has been a guest lecturer at the ADR Class at the Case Western University School of Law in Cleveland, Ohio from 2009 through 2012. Following her involvement in a high profile eminent domain dispute, Lis was invited to present topics on mediation at two CLE International gatherings: the 2009 CLE International Cleveland Eminent Domain Conference in Cleveland, Ohio and at the 2010 CLE International Eminent Domain Conference in Columbus, Ohio. Recently, Lis has presented mediator CLE classes for the Dallas Bar Association's ADR Section and for the State Bar of Texas' Annual ADR Course in Austin, Texas,
While practicing in Ohio, Lis was active in the Akron Bar Association’s Probate section, serving as an officer from 2010-2012, and in the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association’s ADR Section. She was former president (2010-2011) and Board Member of the Mediation Association of Northeast Ohio (MANO) from 2008-2012.
Since moving to Texas, Lis Bulmash received a designation of Credentialed Distinguished from the Texas Mediator Credentialing Association for 2013-2014. She is active in the Dallas Bar Association currently serving as the Chair of the ADR Section. Lis is a member of the Association of Attorney-Mediators and is an officer of its North Texas Chapter. Lis was appointed to the ADR Counsel of the State Bar of Texas in 2015. Lis is an active member of the DBA Probate Section and the Collin County Bar Association's Probate Section.
Lis currently resides in Dallas with her husband Mark and their two children.
